For fifteen years, Burnish 354 has honed the craft of precision metal polishing and industrial surface finishing for the manufacturers, fabricators and restoration houses that won't accept anything less than flawless.
Burnish 354 was founded in 2009 by Marcus Halloway, a tool-and-die machinist who grew frustrated watching well-machined parts leave his shop with substandard surface work. The first 800 square feet housed a single Baldor buffer, a sheet of MDF, and a promise: every part that crossed the bench would leave with a finish that matched the precision of the cut.
Fifteen years later, that promise still defines us. We've grown into an 18,000 square-foot finishing house serving aerospace, medical device, architectural metalwork, classic-automotive restoration and high-end commercial kitchens. Our team of fourteen master finishers works across nine graded finishes — from a #3 directional satin up to a #8 true optical mirror — supported by in-house spectrometry, profilometry and passivation testing.
We don't cut corners because the reflection shows it. Every part is logged, measured and signed off by a named finisher before it ships.
Polishing is often treated as a finishing touch. We treat it as a precision process — one with measurable tolerances, documented methods, and a finisher whose name goes on the work order.

We work with the metal, not against it. Grade-matched abrasive sequences, dedicated tooling for stainless versus aluminum versus titanium, and full lot traceability from incoming stock to shipping crate. The finish reflects the material's true character.
Each work order is paired with a process traveler: the abrasive grits used, the contact-wheel durometer, the rpm, the compound, the finisher's initials. Clients in aerospace and medical ask for this — but we provide it for every job, every time.
