Our Approach

What every Burnish 354 project has in common.

Three things we hold constant — regardless of alloy, geometry, or industry. Skip any of them and the finish will fail in the field.

01

Pre-finish inspection

Every part arrives with a documented surface map. We log Ra, defect density, and weld geography before a single abrasive touches the metal — so we know what we're working with, not what we hope for.

02

Staged grit progression

From 60 to 3000 in measured steps. We never skip more than two grades between passes, because skipping stages is what leaves hidden peaks that flash as haze under raking light.

03

Documented QC at release

Profilometer traces, glossmeter readings, and high-resolution photos ship with every part. If a piece leaves the floor without a signed traveler, it doesn't leave the floor.

Client Note

From the floor, not the brochure.

We sent Burnish 354 a job that two other shops had already rejected — a 4-metre welded bronze handrail with zero tolerance for visible seams. They came back with a finish the architect used in the press launch. They are now our default.
